Yes, we have found a new housemate in Antony of the Public Service. After an exhaustive and thorough search, he muscled out the contenders and was a clear winner. Antony moved in on the weekend, and will be given a blog account forthwith, whence he can introduce himself.

Our weather has been lovely - Sunday was over 28 and clear blue skies. Yesterday was a bit cold and overcast, but today is another gorgeous one, though a bit chilly. So, as predicted by the north/south hemisphere theory, our respective whethers are 180 degrees out of phase.

Still no luck getting the new website into bloody Google. By inspecting the Google cache of the blog with the actual old blog I was able to determine that Google last visited between July 30 and August 5, not to be seen again! Ah well. Maybe if I put another link in. Do you think I could count this detective work towards my PhD thesis? Unlikely. Am I obsessed? Probably. Do I need to have my very existence validated by the web, in particular Google? Certainly. To those who scoff and chide: On the weekend I got some fan mail from my adoring public. Alright, a guy sent me an email about my work. But the key thing is he found me through the web. So there.

Other news: my big sister Alison has got a flat in Carlton, on Rathdowne St. Specifically, the art deco former brothel that Ivan moved out of two weeks ago. Small world. She's already furnishing her flat, starting with a wee Scotsman who answers to Kenny, which is lovely.
